What gets you out of bed in the morning?
For me, it’s my burning passion for horses and my desire to help owners give their pride & joy the best possible care and develop their partnerships. Well, it’s usually that - but sometimes it’s my cheeky baby boy or it’s my mad collie dog waking me up at an ungodly hour!
What makes me qualified to treat your horse and give you advice?
I am a fully qualified Equine Sports and Rehabilitation Massage Therapist. Along with this, I also have a diverse perspective on the equestrian industry as a whole from my studies for my National Diploma in Equine Business Management, BHS stages 1, 2, 3 and my Preliminary Teaching Test. I also have an NVQ 1 & 2 in Horse Care.
Along with my equine qualifications, my experience in the retail side of the industry and gaining my SQP qualification enables me to provide advice on products that may best suit your horse and treatment plan.
My experience?
I began my career grooming to the highest standard for top show jumpers before I moved on to working at riding schools and teaching private clients for 8 years. I then spent 12 years in the retail side of the industry, helping customers find the best products for their horses and learning about all the technology behind items available on the market. I wanted to get back to where I belong though, in the great outdoors, hands-on helping people’s horses and meeting amazing owners, so I embarked on the 2 year study for my equine massage qualification. I’ve also been a horse owner throughout my career, competing mainly in dressage and reaching a level I could never have dreamed of, with hard work and correct care.
Unusual fact about me?
The first time my mum put me on a pony I screamed and cried until she took me off. Im sure she thought how ironic this was years later when her weekends were taken up with shows and driving me and my pony all around the county.
I offer more than just a massage as your horse is more than just a horse
